Private Duty Senior ServicesCatalina In-Home Services, Inc. is a premier, locally owned adult home care service. We have provided private duty personal care and support services in Tucson and surrounding communities since 1981.
The goal of Catalina's home care service is to assist elderly, disabled and chronically ill individuals in maintaining their independence, promoting health and wellness, and enhancing their quality of life. Catalina's service schedules are designed to meet individual needs.
All Hourly Services Include:
• Personal Care
• Meal Preparation
• Light Housekeeping
• Transportation
• Companionship
• Errands
• Four to 24 hours a day, seven days a week, live-in, and sleep over
• Every day, every other day, or from time to time: you decide
• Long term, short-term, or respite
Private Duty Adult Care Is Provided Where The Client Resides:
• In their own home
• Adult care home
• Assisted living
• Nursing home
• Hospital
Direct Caregivers are assigned, based on the individual needs of the adult client, to help maintain an independent life style by assisting with personal care and hygiene, light housekeeping, companionship, medication reminders, providing transportation for errands, outings or doctor's appointments.
Service Coordination:
• Make certain the Direct Caregiver understands and responds to the client's needs
• Address any questions or concerns
• Observe for changes in the client's health status
• Update the Care / Service Plan
Service Coordination and supervision of the staff is included in the fee for service. The goal is to assure satisfaction with the assigned caregiver, prevent unnecessary hospitalization and to coordinate high quality service.
Our RN Service Coordinator will visit the client before service is started and work with the client and family to determine the right level of care, gather background information, obtain a health history, and create an individualized Care/Service Plan.For clients who have complex care needs, our RN Service Coordinator will visit the home on a regular basis. This visit is to assure the client's health status will remain stable.
In addition, there is a RN available after office hours, on weekends, and holidays.
Caregivers: Who Provides the Care?
The Direct Caregiver selected and employed by Catalina In-Home Services, Inc. reflects the quality reputation Catalina has acquired and maintained in the Tucson community. Catalina carefully interviews each applicant, checks references, tests skills level, and thoroughly investigates each applicant's background. Catalina provides a comprehensive orientation, requires on-going education classes and skills testing yearly.
The Direct Caregiver scheduled in the home is Catalina's employee. We assume all responsibility for payroll and all related payroll taxes, provides benefits, maintains liability insurance and workers' compensation, and coordinates all scheduling needs.
Catalina business practices are structured to create a model private duty service that provides support to people where they live or short term in the hospital. It focuses on the relationship that is developed between the Direct Caregiver, the individuals they assist and the Service Coordinators of Catalina. Our focus on selecting the right caregiver and scheduling that person consistently allows for a relationship to develop. This model forges a relationship that nurtures and supports the client's well being, health, and happiness.
